A 6-hour durational work by Raegan Truax
2pm – 8pm in and around grüntaler9
Raegan Truax is a durational performance artist who creates visceral, corporeal environments and takes breath, sweat, and skin as basic materials for works that exhaust, endure, and provoke the simultaneity of art and life. Her work has been presented at Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik (ZKU) in Berlin, SOMarts in San Francisco, The Northern California Performance Platform, Stanford University’s Department of Art and Architecture, Berlin Art Week, The Performance Art Institute in San Francisco, Dance Theatre Workshop in New York City and The New Museum in New York City as collaborator to Carlos Motta’s international art project “We Who Feel Differently”.

A durational perfomative installation by Paolo Botarelli
11am -11pm at grüntaler9
Paolo Botarelli currently lives and works in Berlin. After being educated in arts and music and graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, Paolo rejected the mundane art-world to enter the chess universe. For 10 years his obsession and his experimentation is the one of the chess-board, his research the one of the mysteries of math and physics. In 2008 Paolo Bottarelli comes back to exhibit: Epifanie Matematiche, Mind ≠ Brain, Pentagram, the solo shows, Detour Moleskine and How To the ongoing collective projects, collateral to the Istanbul Biennal. In Berlin, around the group of the Association of Neuroesthetics he studies and experiments the possibilities of perception and the potential of human mind. His work is intertwined with scientific researches and engaged with philosophical perspectives. The artist, for some selected shows, is using the pseudonym De Pawlowsky, as homage to Gaston de Pawlowski, a french writer of the beginning of the XXth century, who inspired – with his Journey in the land of the fourth dimension – Marcel Duchamp in the conception of „The Large Glass“.
::::::::: 8pm Talk followed by a spacemade dinner
::::::::: 11pm Night Walk along Grüntaler Strasse ending under Bornholmer Brücke
::::::::: 22 – 29 June – The Wedding Bang Theory – a collaborative investigation
Following the mysterious Wedding Night Bang Theory, we set out on an artistic investigation for mystic sound spaces in 9 days of a collaborative practice, listening, working, exploring and imagining together. The „crime scene“ is Grüntaler Strasse with its real and imaginary spaces mingling into each other. In a specific manner we will work with memory through sound as traces of the urban space to imagine, fictionalize, mystify and hence soundmap the Grüntaler Strasse. We’ll become the ear witnesses, obscure suspects and auricular assassins.
