Composing implies possibilities of creating new worlds, putting together ideas, thoughts, notes, words, rhythms, feelings, visions, spaces. It can be a way to crystalize time, stretch it or suspend it.
The first time ever Ben and Marialuisa performed together was on the 6th of February 2014 at grüntaler9 with a project called Brush Skin Soft, it was entirely based on improvisation processes. Back in the space after two years they want to experiment with their next concept.

Now they continue their collaboration by putting energy into another direction: to compose songs with the same approach as they usually improvise. Composing pieces in the moment the performers are experiencing their fluxus, they create something in momentum, an organic flow which meanders and detours and scores.

The durational sound composition operation of 5 days will be a chance for them to observe ideas, to shape them, to get feedback from the people visiting and to experiment a new process of composition. The starting point will be the creation of instant songs, but nothing is definded yet. They observe and sound their songs which will be the basis structure of their upcoming Summer collaboration across Canada.

::::::::: Marialuisa Capurso is a sound artist, singer & currently a nomad. She wants to be a membrane through which places, visions, sounds, memories, voices travel. Her work incorporates all the experiences she makes by travelling.

::::::::: Ben Brown is a drummer Currently based in Europe collaborating with Musicians and Dancers while continuing studies with two mentors : Percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie and Performance Artist Katie Duck.
