Eat Your Enemy #4 I don’t want to want (Extended Version)
Pt. 1: (Re-)Writing space and time
::::::::: by Janine Eisenächer
30 May 12-9pm
Duration: 9 hours
All are welcome at any time.
In her lecture and sound performance Eat Your Enemy #4 I don’t want to want, Janine Eisenächer particularly deals with the invisible work of artists, with being privileged and living in precarity at the same time, and with the need for solidarity and ethics of care within the art field.
In the frame of the Extended Version of #4, Janine develops five new durational performances and dedicates each one to a selected art space and to the work of its curator(s) and organizer(s). Pt. 1 (Re-)Writing space and time is a 9 hour performance for grüntaler9 and Teena Lange, based upon several conversations and performative encounters between the space, Teena, and Janine since November 2016.
::::::::: Janine Eisenächer is as a freelance performance artist, curator, and writer, based in Berlin. In her solo, duo and group performances, Janine mainly discusses the subjects of work/ labour and collaboration (of artists) as well as the politics and economies in the art field. Janine is a member of Inverse Institution (with Sönke Hallmann, Jo Zahn, and Inga Zimprich) and of wwwz – Wie wollen wir zusammenarbeiten?
